GLENDALE, AZ. – As the regular season for the 2024 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series concluded this past weekend in Glendale, Arizona, Carolina Cowboys went 1-2, preparing to travel to Las Vegas for the Championship ranked No. 2.

The then league No. 1 Carolina Cowboys began their three-game stretch in Arizona with a showdown against the No. 3 Florida Freedom. Carolina, however, did not have enough to get past Florida, defeated by one ride score, 340.75 - 262.75.

Florida, previously 0-2 against Carolina this season, improved to 16-10, while the Cowboys slipped to 17-8-1, remaining a half-game ahead of the No. 2 Kansas City Outlaws.

The Cowboys returned with newfound confidence Saturday, going 4-for-5 to beat the league’s reigning Champion Texas Rattlers by two ride scores, 345.75 – 168.5, ending the surging Rattlers’ five-game win streak.

“We were pretty disappointed in ourselves last night; we didn’t hold up to our standards,” said Carolina’s leadoff man Cooper Davis, who put his team up for good in the top of the first by riding Wasted Nights away from his hand for 87 points. “We came here with a vengeance tonight to secure that No. 1 spot. We gotta put our foot on the gas to get it done against Kansas City tomorrow. That’s going to be a big game for us.”

Courtesy of the win, the Cowboys earned one of four possible spots in the Shootout Round.

Carolina’s 2024 regular season then concluded with a showdown against the then No. 2 Kansas City Outlaws, a game that would decide who would be crowned the 2024 PBR Teams Regular Season Champions.

The Cowboys, however, were shutout by PBR’s powerful animal athletes, scoreless in their 264.5-0 loss to the Kansas City Outlaws.

When the dust settled, Carolina concluded the season a team-best No. 2 in the standings with an 18-9-1 record. Via the No. 2 rank, the Cowboys will have a bye on the first night of the PBR Camping World Team Series Championship on Oct. 18. They will debut inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 19.
